OK in Morse code
OK in Morse code is --- -.-: O is three dashes and K is dash dot dash. It ends on K, which on its own has a special meaning.
R, K and OK on the air
- K (
-.-) means "over, go ahead", the invitation for the other station to send. - R (
.-.) means "received", the usual way to say OK, got it. - <KN> (
-.--.) means "go ahead, only the station I am talking to".
OK is fine in everyday messages and puzzles. Press Play to hear how close its end sounds to the K signal.
